Rebuilding the Carriacou Police Station: The Foreign Mission Board’s Hurricane Relief Efforts in Grenada
Carriacou, an island of the tri-island state of Grenada, is in urgent need of support following the devastating impact of Hurricane Beryl. The Foreign Mission Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA is at the forefront of the recovery efforts, providing crucial financial aid and hands-on support to help the island rebuild.
One of the key projects currently underway is repairing the roof of the local police station. This effort is not merely about restoring a physical structure; it’s about reestablishing a sense of security and stability for the community.
The Foreign Mission Board’s contributions extend beyond financial donations. The Executive Director journeyed to the island to get a first-hand view. He took the opportunity to assist and offer prayers and words of encouragement to some of the residents. Plans are afoot to send the affected residents additional aid in the form of needed items.
Leaders and members of the National Baptist Convention, USA, are rallying as much support and aid as possible to ensure that the residents of Carriacou are not left undone by this disaster. As Carriacou continues its journey toward recovery, the collaboration and dedication seen in these efforts inspire confidence in a better tomorrow.
