Laymen on a Mission: PIM Hospital Restoration
In a compelling display of faith and service, laymen from the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., in partnership with the Foreign Mission Board (FMB), journeyed to Malawi to support the restoration of the Providence Industrial Mission (PIM) Hospital. This historic institution, founded in 1900 by John Chilembwe, has long been a cornerstone of healthcare and spiritual guidance in the region. Over the years, the hospital faced challenges that led to its decline, highlighting the urgent need for revitalization.
The visiting team engaged directly with the local community, offering hands-on assistance in the hospital’s rebuilding efforts. Their work encompassed structural repairs, provision of medical supplies, and spiritual support, aiming to restore the hospital’s capacity to serve thousands in need. This mission trip underscores FMB’s enduring commitment to global partnerships and faith-driven initiatives that bring tangible hope and healing to underserved communities.
