Eswatini Preschoolers Sing and Dance for Digital Learning Leap
Foreign Mission Board Donates TVs to Modernize Classrooms
The school in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) was filled with the joyful sounds of singing and dancing children as the Foreign Mission Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, unveiled a transformative gift: brand new televisions for their preschool classrooms. This donation marks a significant leap in the mission’s ongoing efforts to modernize education and bridge the digital divide in this underserved region.
The video above captures the unbridled excitement of the young students as they celebrate the arrival of the TVs. For some, this will be their first exposure to digital learning tools, opening up a world of educational possibilities.
“Thank you so much to the Foreign Mission Board for the televisions. They are going to be useful for our children. Our teaching will be easier now,” states one of the school’s teachers.
The televisions will be used to display educational videos, interactive lessons, and other digital content carefully curated to suit the preschool curriculum. Teachers will integrate these tools into their daily lessons, ensuring a seamless transition to a more engaging and effective learning environment.
This initiative is a testament to the Foreign Mission Board’s unwavering commitment to invest in education as a catalyst for positive change in Malawi. By equipping classrooms with modern technology, the mission aims to foster a love for learning, critical thinking skills, and digital literacy from an early age.
